One other word is often translated “to appoint” or “to determine” (horizo), but none of its eight occurrences pertain to the salvation of men and women (Luke 22:22; Acts 2:23; 10:42; 11:29; 17:26, 31; Rom. 1:4; Heb. 4:7).
